The R89 Gum Inc Mickey Mouse set is a 96 card set of one of the most popular comic characters of all time. Mickey Mouse's popularity exploded in the early 1930's and Gum, Inc of Philadelphia, PA sought to capitalize on that with their set. The set was issued in two different series of 48 cards with each having a companion album. More often than not, the cards found themselves glued into the albums so finding high grade cards is difficult.
This boxed set includes a complete set of (96) reprint cards and a reprint companion album. The (96) cards are in shrink-wrapped series of (24) cards as they were issued in sheets during the original release. This boxed set is in EX to EXMT, unopened condition. Great set and perfect alternative to putting together a complete set of (96) cards.
