The R173 Gum Inc World in Arms set was one of a number of War sets that Gum Inc issued from the late 1930's through the early 1940's. The set totaled (48) cards and had an odd numbering scheme grouping cards into types of subjects such as ships, planes, artillery and others and then numbering the cards within those categories.
This lot includes original artwork for R173 World in Arms for card #A-13 "French Torpedo Planes" along with a finished card for that number. The artwork measures 6-3/16" wide by 4-15/16" tall and is in VG to VGEX condition. The card is in VG condition. Original artwork from 1930's issues is scarce and a one of a kind collectible for collectors.
