T486 Murai Cigarettes Japanese Personalities Lot of (41) Cards

The T486 Murai Cigarettes Japanese Personalities set was issued by Murai Tobacco for sales in Asia around the 1910's time period. The set pictures Japanese personalities on the front of the card in an inset window with light peach borders and the person's name on the bottom front. The backs advertise for Murai Cigarettes and can be found in blue, green or crimson ink. It is not known how many combinations of front/back are there but although non-sport.com lists 73 subjects for the set, advanced collectors have over 100 subjects--most of which can be found with any/all colored backs.

This lot of (41) cards from the T486 Murai Cigarettes Japanese Personalities set run the gamut in condition between poor to VGEX with most being in the GVG to VG range. Great, large lot of these interesting cards. There is some light duplication in the lot.
