Lev Gleason Publications, founded by Leverett Stone Gleason, was the publisher of a number of popular comic books during the 1940s and early 1950s, including Daredevil Comics, Crime Does Not Pay, and Boy Comics. In the 1950's, Lev Gleason inserted cards into the comic books to help them sell. The cards can be found with a cream-colored back stock on thinner paper with a coupon at the bottom and on thicker stock minus the coupons. The thicker stock cards have red printing on the back of the cards with the thinner cards having black printing on the back.
This lot is for a complete set of (15) cards from the 1950's Lev Gleason Comic Cards. This is the thin stock versions with coupons. All coupons in this set are still attached. The set is in VG to EX condition. Very tough set to complete.
