The T221 Pan Handle Scrap Champion Swimmers set is a (100) card set of swimmers with black and white photos surrounded by an orange border. The first (40) cards feature 10 each of four different swimmers--Pitonof, Miss Ideal, Odiva and Annette Kellermann. These first 40 are more common than the next 60 which picture different swimmers.
The T230 Pan Handle Scrap World Champion Athletes is a (50) card set picturing mostly track and field athletes of notoriety in the early 1910's. Most noticeably from the set is the wildly popular card of Hawaiian Celebrity Duke Kahanamoku. Duke Paoa Kahinu Mokoe Hulikohola Kahanamoku was a competition swimmer who popularized the ancient Hawaiian sport of surfing.
This lot of (5) cards includes a single T221 Women's Swimmer card as well as a group of (4) T230 Athletes cards to include the following subjects: Charles D Reidpath(2), R.B. Thomas and Clarance C. Childs. The lot is in Good to VG condition with clean fronts and backs and only some creasing downgrading the condition.
