Congress Cut Plug tobacco issued a couple different series of cards during the late part of the 19th century. The N534 Series is a chromolithographed card in full color with black borders and advertising at the bottom front. The second classification is N652 which falls into a more common type of albumen photo card with advertising on the bottom front. In both instances, the advertising says "Use Congress Cut Plug". Both series measure 2-1/4" by 4"
in size.
This lot of (4) cards from the N534 Congress Cut Plug set features actresses on the front of blank backed cards. This lot of (4) cards range from G to VG condition with one of the cards having some very light paper loss in a cople of spots.
