The 1952 Topps Look 'N See set was one of the many home run's that Topps hit during the year of 1952. The smaller format cards picture famous people with great artwork on the front and an orange hued background. The packs of cards also included an orange celluloid film that, when placed over the back of the card, allowed the person looking to see a comic about the person on the front of the card. Hence, the 'Look N See' title. The large set has become very popular in higher grade over the years with stiff competition on the PSA registry. This is evident by the 16,000+ graded Look 'N See cards on just the PSA registry. We are lucky to have a number of high grade Look 'N See cards in this auction.
This lot of (8) 1952 Topps Look 'N See have all been graded by PSA and include the following subjects: #99 Lester B Pearson (PSA4 VG-EX), #91 Enrico Caruso (PSA8 NM-MT OC), #90 Benedict Arnold (2 cards: PSA6 EX-MT and PSA7 NM), #81 Sir Walter Raleigh (PSA6 EX-MT), #72 Cyrus McCormick (PSA4 VG-EX), #45 Amelia Earhart (PSA4 VG-EX), and #71 Thomas Edison (PSA5 EX). Great lot for the set builder of this very popular set.
