The Duke Tobacco Coins set is a 50 card set picturing a native and a sample coin from a given country. The backs have a set checklist and the fronts of the card can be found with either a white background or a muted colored background for the variation collectors.
It is rare to find uncut 19th century trading cards. This lot is for a single strip of (5) N72 Duke Coins that is uncut. It is a finished strip with all the front color passes as well as the printed checklist back. The strip is in Good condition and includes the following full color subjects from left to right: Peru, Venezuela, Algeria, Finland and Newfoundland. These strips offer a look into how the cards were produced and how sheets of cards were arranged for production. This strip has (3) pinholes as seen most clearly from the photo of the backs of the cards.
