N217 Kinney Butterflies (Gold Background) Near Complete Set (43/50)

Among the multitude of sets Kinney issued were two sets of butterflies. The N217-1 set pictures (10) different butterflies with lighter white backgrounds while the N217-2 set pictures (50) different butterflies with a gold colored background. This lot includes a complete set of the N217-1 white background butterflies. Unlike the N217-1 white background series, the N217-2 gold background series have no numbers on the cards, so completing the set can be, at times, daunting.

This near set of (43/50) cards fall mostly in the VG to EX with most being in the VGEX range. There are 4-5 cards with some level of writing or staining on the backs of the cards but overall the cards in the set have clean fronts and backs.
