The Breisch-Williams Company of Oxford, PA issued a number of sets after the turn of the 20th century. Their most famous set is the E103 Baseball series. This series of (25) Army cards pictures soldiers from 9 different countries in their battle gear. The cards were inserted one each into the Army caramel brand from Breisch-Williams. The images used in this series were used for other manufacturers of the time including the American Tobacco Company among others. All cards picture the subject in a full color bust pose. Thirteen of the (25) cards also have a picture of a cap in the lower left corner. They appear on all the same cards and it is not known why they don't appear on all the cards.
This lot of (18) E1 Breisch-Williams Army Cards run the gamut in condition from poor to VGEX. There are (11) of the (17) cards that hae a small hole punched in the upper right. Absent this issue, the cards would be in VGEX condition. The remainder of the cards that do not have the punch are in GVG to VG condition.
