The R191 Big Alarm Candy set was issued by General Gum of Chicago, Illinois. The boxes pictured a fire truck on one side and a person on the other and there were six unique boxes in a complete set. The images are frequently found cut from the package design and were given the classification R191 by Jefferson Burdick in the American Card Catalog.The box measures 5-1/8" x 2-3/4" x 1-5/8".
This is a complete set of (12) cards with (6) fire trucks and (6) characters in scenes cards. They are hand cut from the boxes and in VG to VGEX condition. This is a tough set to complete and would be a great addition to even the best nonsports collection.
