The E Rosen Company of Providence Rhode Island is best known for their colorful Valentine, Easter and Halloween cards. They also issued this set of R139 Soldiers early in the "R" card period of 1930. The cards picture colorful renditions of soldiers for (36) different countries around the world. The card backs have a nice narrative and are numbered on the top of the card. The cards are printed on lower grade, strip-card like paper so finding high grade cards is often difficult.
This lot is for a single R139 Rosen Soldier card of subject #23 Senegal that has been graded PSA2 Good. At first glance, the card looks to be undergraded by 3-4 grades. There are some light white dots on the back in the upper left corner that could account for the low grade. The card presents beautifully.
