The R21 Ripley's Believe it or Not set is a 48 card set issued in 1937 by Wolverine Gum of Detroit, Michigan. The first 24 numbers are considered the low numbers and last 24 are high numbers. The low number set is relatively easy to complete and the high numbers are very difficult to complete. Ripley's Believe it or Not started in 1918 by Robert Ripley with facts, in some cases, so extraordinary that they were difficult to believe. They were often very dark in nature and included such topics as death, dismemberment and other atrocities. The entire goal was to shock the viewer through hyperbole and make them think.
This lot is for a pair of PSA-Graded R21 Ripley's Believe it or Not cards to include the following subjects: #14 "Black Bart" PSA3 VG and #24 "Dead Man Wins a Fight" in PSA5 EX condition. Great pair of cards that would fit in a nice, clean midgrade set of R21.
