The N116 Duke Illustrated Songs set is a 25 card set that was issued in the 1890's. The card backs advertise for Duke's Honest Long Cut (HLC) brand. The backs have the words to the song that's illustrated on the front. Popular songs of the day such as "Auld Lang Syne", "No Sir" and "The Old Oaken Bucket" are pictured in the series. This lot offers the possibility for a great start to a set of these large format Duke cards that represents over half the set.
Condition breakdown on the lot is (8) cards in VGEX to EX including In the Starlight, Where are you going My pretty Maid, Nancy Lee, Dost though love me sister Ruth?, Mignon, Rory O'Moore, Auld Lang Syne and The Girl I Left Behind me and (5) Cards in GVG to VG condition including A Warrior Bold, The Little Fisher Maiden, The Old Oaken Bucket, O Fair Dove and No Sir.
