Rarity doesn't always translate to value and this lot of N623 cards falls into that discussion. The N623 set is a small set of actresses issued with Sovereign 5 cent cigarettes by an unknown company. The cards are sepia-toned albumen photo actress cards as were many of the day. Non-sport.com checklists only (5) cards from the set, so this lot of (10) has a number of subjects not known to current checklist efforts.
This lot of (10) Cards from the N623 Sovereign Best 5 cent Cigarettes set includes the following subjects: Muriel Beaumont, Nita Carlyon, Margaret Dale, Lucy Gerard, Edna Wallace Hopper, Charlotte Walker, Sybil Sanderson, Olive May and Mary Mannering. The fronts are clean and appealing EX type of condition with varying degrees of photo clarity. The backs of the cards exhibit paper adhered or paper loss but all the cards have deep black printed advertisements for the product.
