The N287 Buchner set pictures New York Scenes on (20) different cards. The cards picture scenes of New York City life in the late 1880's to early 1890's. Picturing Central Park, the Stock Exchange, Grand Central and others, the cards have colorful fronts with an add for the 'Finest or Bravest' tobacco product from Buchner. The backs of the cards advertise the Buchner product and outline the gifts that can be had for 100, 200, 400, 500 and 600 cards.
This lot is for a single N287 Buchner Gold Coin New York Scenes "Academy of Design" Type card in VG condition. The card has some fountain pen "9" numbers written in a couple spots on the back but it is clean otherwise with moderate corner wear. It would make a good filler card until a better condition card could be obtained.
