Brody Novelty Candy created a set of movie star cards in the early 1930's. The set totals (50) cards and the subjects are very similar to the Kashin Publications cards that are blank backed. Many of the images coincide between the two sets. The Brody Novelty cards have a pre-printed cheklist on the back of the card and advertise for Brody Novelty. The cards were issued in an envelope/wrapper with "Big Stars" on the outside front and a redemption offer on the back. The redemption was to return (5) envelopes with 10 cents in coin or stamps and Brody Novelty would send a "handsome movie star album" that would hold forty-eight pictures.
This Wrapper/Envelope held E243 Brody Novelty Candy "Big Stars". The wrapper is in VGEX condition with the only real fault being some light pencil writing on the back of the envelope.
