The N562 Wilson & McCallay Art Gems card is from a series of eight cards issued in Middletown, Ohio in the late 19th Century. The cards measure 8-3/4" by 10-3/4" and have color paintings on the front of common family life with a coupon to the left where a larger version of the photo can be ordered for a number of tin tags from the products. The cards can be found with different advertisements for the different brands of their tobacco--Happy Thought Plug Tobacco, Mess Mate Plug Tobacco and No Tax Plug Tobacco. These cards themselves were available from the manufacturer for six tobacco tags each. This card is of the No Tax Plug Tobacco variation for "The Children's Tea" picturing a mother and four children eating at the table while a cat sips milk from a saucer on the floor.

This N562 Wilson & McCaulay Art Gems type card of the subject "Henpecked" is in about VGEX condition. There is some discoloration on the back which appears to be from sunlight exposure but otherwise the card is very clean.
