The N21 Allen & Ginter Quadrupeds set is an interesting set picturing four-legged animals from around the world in pastoral settings on the front of the cards and a checklist back naming all (50) cards in the set. The set is one of 34 small format sets that Allen & Ginter inserted into boxes of cigarettes in the late 1880's and early 1890's. The Quadrupeds set is one of 10 sets with matching large counterparts as well.
This lot is for a single copy of the Deer card from the N21 Allen & Ginter Quadrupeds set that has been graded SGC7. The card has razor sharp corners and crystal clean front and back and would be a welcome addition to any high grade set of the Quadrupeds. Interestingly, this appears to be the only SGC graded copy of ANY N21 Quadruped. PSA has graded a total of 420 Quadrupeds with only 11 achieving PSA7 or NM status. This is the highest graded copy of the Deer subject by SGC/PSA with the next highest being a PSA5.
