This interesting lot of (6) 1880/1890's Albums are interesting glimpses into the advertising vehicles that companies used to help sell their wares. The most common albums of this period are the tobacco albums which were coupon redemptions. It is likely that the albums in this group may have been redemption items as well.

The Marine album is in VG to VGEX condition and pictures a beautiful boat on the cover. The album appears to have it's original light blue string binding. There is some chipping and wear to both covers and some creasing where the covers were folded back which is common for these albums. The back cover has some light creasing.

The second album is from Drummond Tobacco Company and might be more appropriately described as a booklet. Sized about the same size as the other albums of the day it offers "words of Song and Chorus" by Edward Harrigan. The covers show decent wear with some staining but no major pieces missing.

The Songs of all Nations album is in VG condition with issues to both covers and creasing at the spine which appears to have the original or a period string binding.

The next album is the Youth's Companion Announcement for 1889 picturing a young girl set against a pastoral scene. The album is in VGEX to EX condition with just light wear. The original string binding is present. The back cover has an 1889 calendar and notes the album is from Perry Mason & Company of Boston, Massachusetts.

The next album is an interesting album from tobacco company A. Hussey & Company of Chicago, Illinois. The album pictures a cherub standing on top of a bale of tobacco. The album is in GVG condition with a decent amount of chipping on both the front and back covers.

The final album may be the most interesting. It is titled Modern Pastimes in a pleasing red font set against light blue drawings of sports like Base Ball, Rowing, Tennis and other sports. Interestingly, in the interior pages, there is a great scene of baseball on its own page as well as a narrative that talks about Uncle (Adrian "Cap") Anson and "Buck" Ewing's Cincinnati Reds and pitchers (Amos) Rusie and (Clark) Griffith. Very interesting album with content of four of the greatest players of the 19th century. The album is very clean and in EX condition.
