The 1952 Bowman T.V. and Radio Stars set is the first and smaller of the two sets of the same name that Bowman put out in 1952 and 1953. The smaller 1952 set has horizontal backs while the 1953 set has vertically-oriented backs. The (36) cards includes luminaries such as Bob Hope and Dinah Shore, among others. he set is pouplar for the large clean images with no graphics on the front.
This 36-card series is
less well-known than its 96-card 1953 big brother, but it is still a delight. It features color portraits
of some of the leading entertainers in the NBC stable in the early 1950s, including Bob Hope and
Groucho Marx. Absolutely a top-drawer set, with twenty PSA- graded cards averaging NM+ 7.15!
I don’t believe any raw card grades less than EX-MT. You will likely not see a set of comparable
quality come on the market for a long time! All cards stored in Cardsaver 1 holders and mounted
in plastic pages in a looseleaf binder, for convenient viewing. Fun!
