The N21 Allen & Ginter Quadrupeds set is an interesting set picturing four-legged animals from around the world in pastoral settings on the front of the cards and a checklist back naming all (50) cards in the set. The set is one of 34 small format sets that Allen & Ginter inserted into boxes of cigarettes in the late 1880's and early 1890's. The Quadrupeds set is one of 10 sets with matching large counterparts as well.
This lot is for a group of (4) N21 Allen & Ginter Quadruped cards all of which have been graded by SGC. The subjects include Ibex (SGC20 or Fair 1.5), Musk Ox (SGC30 or Good 2), Porcupine (SGC20 Fair 1.5) and Tapir (SGC50 or VGEX 4). Although the technical grades on some of the cards are lower, they do present well with mostly clean fronts and backs and are downgraded mostly due to creasing.
