Phoenix Candy issued a number of series of candy boxes that contained the candy as well as small novelties primarily in the 1960's through 1980's. The boxes have become very popular and collectors love them for the artwork on the box faces. Often found with the faces of the box cut out as a card, the complete boxes are rarely found--especially on the earlier issues.
This lot is for a single Phoenix Candy box of Horror Monsters "Meet the Mummy". The box is from the earlier part of Phoenix' run of candy boxes and pictures a mummy on the front and back face of the box. The box has some water staining as shown but 1960's Monster pieces are in huge demand. Overall VGEX other than water stain. Great piece of 1960's lore.
