The T85 Strollers set is a set of actor and actress cards that can be broken into a number of smaller sets. The T85-1 set is a (100) card set of sepia toned cards but no notation of Strollers on the back. T85-2 is a (220) card set that has the first 100 subjects of T85-1 with 100 additional subjects and 20 'Mack Sennett Girls' subjects. The cards are diminutive in size as some of the smaller 1920's tobacco cards. The T85-3 is the toughest group of cards totaling (120) cards with the images in circles and ornate borders.
This lot is for a pair of PSA8-graded cards to include #1 Ron S. Hart and #99 Charlie Chaplin. The Hart card is a POP1 with none higher and the Chaplin is a POP2 with none higher. Collectors know how difficult it is to find #1 cards in such high grade, so the card in this lot is somewhat of a unicorn. The Chaplin card is arguably the most popular card in the set and to find it in this condition is also extremely difficult.
