The D54 Mother Goose Card set is a (24) card set of die cut cards issued in what was apparently 1922 by a number of different bakeries across the country. The cards picture all the more popular nursery rhymes like Jack and Jill, Humpty Dumpty, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Little Bo-Peep and many more. The cards were die cut to be punched out and stood up. The advertising for the different bakers is typically printed on the back in blue, black or red and non-sport.com checklists at least 33 different back variations for these cards.
This lot of (9) D54 Mother Goose cards covers cards from a variety of bakeries to include the following: Blank Backed (2 cards), Paul's (4 cards), Butter-Nut Baking (1 card), Schouten's bakery (1 card) and Nafziger (1 card). The cards in this lot run in condition from fair with tape on them to about VGEX with most being around GVG to VG condition. This lot would be a great addition for the typecard collector or someone brave enough to be working on sets of these cards from various manufacturers.
