N37, N39 and N42 Allen & Ginter Trio of Oversized Cards

This lot is for a trio of oversized Allen & Ginter cards. The larger cards were issued in the larger, more expensive boxes of A&G Richmond Straight Cut 20 cigarettes. As such, they are much tougher to obtain, having been printed in much smaller quantities. All of the (10) oversized sets have smaller counterparts in the N1-N35 range.

This lot includes single examples from N37 Birds of America, N39 Fish from American Waters and N42 Song Birds of the World. The N37 Birds of America representative is of the Horned Owl. The card is technically fair to good but has clean front and back with heavy wear to the borders. The N39 Fish from American Waters card is of the Yellow Perch. This card is also about fair to good with stress at the corners and some very light surface issues on the back of the card. Finally, the N42 Songbirds card is of the Pine Grosbeak subject which is in VGEX to EX condition. Great little lot for the type card collector or for someone working on sets of the larger Allen & Ginter cards.
