The E276 G&B (Green & Blackwell) set is a small set picturing candidates in the 1888 Presidential election. The cards are the smallest "E" card and one of the few "E" cards issued before 1900. G&B also issued the E223 set of baseball cards that are extremely valuable and just as difficult to find as the E273 set. Non-sport.com notes only three cards checklisted including a pair of Grover Cleveland cards (one looking left, one looking right) and A.G. Thurman. The cards measure 1-1/16" by 2-1/8".
This lot is for a single E273 G&B card picturing Grover Cleveland looking left that has had the G&B advertising at the bottom trimmed from the card. The card is in poor condition with a crease and back issues but the image on the front is clear and in decent shape.
