Like most of the Novel Candy Company sets, the R42 Dick Tracy set is taken from the back of candy boxes. The set has (24) different cards removed one each from (24) different candy boxes. The R42 set is the less common of the Novel Candy Company's Dick Tracy sets. The cards are slightly longer than the majority of the Novel Candy cards and measure 2" by 3-1/8".
This lot is for a single complete R42 Novel Candy Dick Tracy box. The box is #17 Junior Tracy's Mother and Larceny Lu. The technical condition of the box is likely around fair to good but the box is extremely difficult to find even a type of. Most of the damage to the box is just wear and some creasing and fortunately is mostly confined to the sides and end flaps of the box. The card face and the face of the front of the box picturing Dick Tracy are both relatively clean and in VGEX type condition. Phenomenal candy box in a very hot market for these type collectibles.
