The D73 Stamps and Mail Carriers of Nations is a stock card set of (48) cards used by many different companies for advertising. In the larger horizontal format, non-sport.com has listed four different advertisers - Schmidt's Bakery, Crispy Top Bread, Carpenter's Milk Bread and Freihofer's Bread. The cards picture a native from the noted company on the card along with stamps from that country at all four corners on the front of the card. The title of the cards is typically "Mail in X' where "X" is the country name. The cards were not only used for bread company advertising but also for gum, candy, Canadian tobacco, U.S. tobacco, coffee and other products.

This lot is for a pair of D73 cards. One front Freihofer's Bread (Mail in Dutch Indies - Fair condition) and the other from Crispy Top Bread (Mail in Bavaria and VG condition). Another great lot for the type card collector.
