The N412 Set is a set of (17) known cards picturing presidents, celebrities and actresses. The cards measure 2-1/2 by 4-1/16 inches and have a glossy sepia type front picturing the subject and the backs of the cards are in black and white printing and advertise the Seal of North Carolina brand or the more difficult Lichtenstein brand. The most popular cards in the set include presidents like Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant and actress Lillian Russell. The N413 Marburg set pictures painting reproductions in a set of (44) cards. The cards can have advertising for Melrose Curly Cut Tobacco or Seal of North Carolina Tobacco.
This lot is for a group of (4) cards--(2) each from the N412 celebrities and actresses set from Marburg and (2) from the N413 Painting reproductions set. The cards in the lot are mostly in presentable lower grade ranging from Poor to Good with most about Fair. They are presentable however. The N412 subjects are Zeffie Tilbury and Flora Walsh. The two N413 painting reproduction subjects are untitled. One pictures a woman laying in a pastoral scene with a white cat. The other pictures a man and woman seated in a setting where the man is serenading the woman with a guitar. Great lot for the typecard collector or for the Seal of North Carolina set collector.
