The S62 series of silks are an interesting and very tough series of silks. The silks have no identifying marks exept a number in the lower left and what factory they were released from which in the case of this silk is Factory 649, 1st District of NY. Silks can be found in three different sizes 1-7/8" by 2-7/16", 2-3/4" by 2-15/16" and finally an extremely scarce version that measures 7-7/8" by 8". The silks picture an inset cameo picture of a woman from one of a number of different designs.
The silk in this lot is #1 of the S62-2 or second series of the S62 Cameo Silk set. The silk is in Good condition with a crease and just a bit of soiling. The light blue border retains its color and the number one and factory information is clear on the cleanly cut lower border. This would be a great addition to a very advanced type card collection.
