The E-UNC Ghirardelli California Missions set is believed to be a (16) card set picturing California missions. The set is a postcard-backed set likely issued in the 1910-1915 range. Ghirardelli issued other similar postcard-sized sets for the 1914 Pan Pacific Exposition, Animals and a number of other sets picturing actors and actresses. The California Missions series is the only set of postcards they issued that are numbered.
This lot contains a pair of E-UNC Ghirardelli Missions postcards in EX to EXMT condition. The two subjects in the lot are #1 Mission San Carlos and #6 Mission San Luis Obispo. Great pair of these very tough cards to find.
