The T77 Hassan Lighthouse Series is a (50) card set of Lighthouses from all over the US. The cards are a popular subject and the artwork on them is very nice. Before the advent of radar and sonar, lighthouses all across the world helped guide ships safely into harbor. This set was issued sometime in the early 1910's and is one of a number of sets that Hassan issued during this period.
The T118 Hassan Tobacco World's Greatest Explorers is a (25) card set picturing the Explorers of the early 20th century known to be some of the World's greatest. The subjects include famous explorers like Peary, Shackelton, Stanley and Livingstone, Henry Hudson and many more. The set employs colorful pictures on the front and a biography on the back.
This lot contains a par of near sets from the 20th century "T" Tobacco Era. The T77 Lighthouse set of (44/50) cards is missing subjects 3, 16, 19, 21, 23, and 26. The T118 Explorers set is missing only #12 Sven Hedin. Great lot of cards that are pretty consistently in VG to VGEX condition with a few better and very few worse.
