The V118 Ganong Brothers Big Chief Indians set was one of many sets in the 1920's/1930's that borrowed the artwork from the Allen & Ginter N2/N36 sets. Like some of the other sets Ganong used the artwork after reversing the images and some embellishments like feathers added and the color schemes brightened up a little bit. The set, like its other counterparts is very popular and pictures all the big Indian Chiefs of the wild west of the United States. Indian Chiefs like Chief Joseph, Geronimo and Sitting Bull form the lineup of the set.
This lot is for a group of (4) V118 Ganong Brothers Chocolate American Indian Chiefs. The subjects in the lot and their respective condition are: #4 Black Hawk (PSA5 EX), #26 Spotted Tail (PSA5 EX), #48 Black Hawk (PSA2 Good) and #50 True Eagle (PSA5 EX). Great lot for the set builder.
