The R98 U.S. Navy Warships set is an (8) card set of package designs cut from boxes of candy issued by Novel Package Corporation. Novel issued a number of sets of cards--all of which were package design sets. Most had perforations on the cards themselves and could easily be punched from the box with little effort. Others like this set, R98, had to be cut from the box. The cards are colorful red/yellow base colors and are numbered on the front along with having the title of the pictured subject ship. The backs of the cards are blank.
This complete set of (8) cards is in about VGEX to EX condition and very clean--both front and back. The set would be a great addition to a high grade 1930's "R" collection or for the collection of army/navy/air force type cards.
