The American Card Catalog has a number of obscure tobacco companies listed in the back of the section for the 19th century tobacco cards. They are generally listed in the N600 and up range and cover cards organized into small tobacco cards and larger cards and include some subjects from advertisers that are particularly difficult to obtain. Type Card collectors are constantly looking for tougher tobacco actress cards. In addition to the tough cards in the ACC, there are also uncataloged cards that were subsequently cataloged by efforts from Chris Benjamin and other hobbyists. The N832 Tit Willow is one such set of oversized, cabinet-sized cards picturing celebrities such as Grover Cleveland and James Blaine as well as a number of actresses.
This lot is for a single N832 Tit Willow Cigarros Actress Cabinet of an unnamed actress seated with a large bonnet on. The cabinet has some condition issues and appears to have been trimmed on the right side. It is, however, from an extremely difficult series of cards.
