The Buchner N284 set contains baseball players, police inspectors, jockeys and actors. The Policemen fall under the N284-2 classification. Within that classification, N284-2A is the classification for cards with "Gold Coin Tobacco" on the front of the card at the top. There are 68 known policemen checklisted in the set, most of which were from the New York and New Jersey Area. The backs of the cards advertise for the N284 set and its different component sets.
This lot is for a single N284-2A Buchner Gold Coin card of Police Captain Edward Carpenter from the 20th Precinct of New York that has been graded by PSA as 7 or Near Mint.
