The 220 Mecca Cigarettes Boxers set is a (50) card set of the most famous boxers of the early 20th century. The cards picture primarily single boxers of the day but also have some action shots with a couple boxers 'duking' it out. The backs can be found from a couple different factories (30/649) with white stock or from factory 649 with silver stock paper back. They can also, like the T218 cards, be found from Tolstoi cigarettes in a format that's just as difficult to find as the T218 Tolstoi counterparts.
This lot of (4) T220 Boxers are of the tough Tolstoi cigarettes back variants. The subjects include the following: Jem Carney, Kid McCoy, Tommy Ryan and "Tug" Wilson. The cards in the lot are in G to VG condition, averaging about GVG. The Tolstoi backs are clean.
