The UO63 British American Oil Company set is a (24) card set picturing interesting paintings of famous racing cars. The cards were issued in the United States and made as a premium for buying gas at gas stations. The cards were actually perforated panels that measured about 3-3/16" wide by about 6-1/4" tall. They were perforated in the middle. The top half of the card measures 3-3/16" by 3-1/8" and pictured the car. The bottom half of the panel was a scratch off redemption called "Cash Carnival" where the holder wiped off the black 'doors' of the filling station to see what their cards would yield.
This near set (17/24) of cards pictures a great array of cards including the following subjects: 1930 Duesenberg Phaeton, Corvette Stingray, Ford FT MK II, Cord, Facel Vega, Ferrari Berlinetta, MG TC, 1928 Red Label Bentley, Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, Mercedes-Benz 540K, Shelby-Mustang GT 500, Shelby Cobra, Stutz Bearcar, SS100, Auburn 852 Speedster, Citroen "Traction Avant" and Bugatti Type 35. Great near set of these cards with the tough bottom tabs intact.
