in the 1950's Hires Root Beer created a group of hang tag sets that would have been put on a bottle of root beer in a six pack for collectible purposes. There was a (3) piece Christmas set, a (6) piece set of American Indians and a (6) piece set of variations of flags. They were meant to have the hangar part trimmed off and trimmed on the bottom, folded and set up for decorations.
This lot contains a single type of the American Indian Chiefs of Chief Joseph.. The tag is in GVG to VG condition with stress to the circular cut out hangar part but it is intact. Most of the hangars in the market that survived were likely never put on drinks but this one appears to have been placed on a bottle.
