The E49 Wild West Caramels set was one of many sets issued by the American Caramel Company. Likely issued around the mid-teens, it contains 20 colorful cards, 10 of which depict Indians and 10 of which depict cowboys or scouts. Notable characters from the set include Buffalo Bill, Daniel Boone, Davey Crockett, Custer and Sitting Bull among others. Cards of these subjects typically are more in demand and will bring a premium to the ‘common’ cards in the set.
The cards have a checklist on the back similar to the E102 Baseball set and the E8 Battleships set, which have no manufacturer on them like the E49 series. The checklist below is presented in alphabetical order. The checklist on the back of the cards lists the 10 cowboys or scouts and then the 10 Indians in no particular order.
This near set (18/20) cards mostly range between VG and VGEX with a couple lesser.
