The N412 Set is a set of (17) known cards picturing presidents, celebrities and actresses. The cards measure 2-1/2 by 4-1/16 inches and have a glossy sepia type front picturing the subject and the backs of the cards are in black and white printing and advertise the Seal of North Carolina brand or the more difficult Lichtenstein brand. The most popular cards in the set include presidents like Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant and actress Lillian Russell.
This lot is for a pair of N412 Marburg Brothers Seal of North Carolina cards picturing Lillian Russell and President Garfield. The cards have very clean fronts but the backs suffer from spotted paper loss and browning. Overall the cards would grade poor but with very presentable fronts.
