Runkel's Cocoa was one of the more prolific cocoa companies in the early part of the 20th century. To advertise their products, the produced a number of dozens of trade cards--individually and in series. Their phenomenal style of artwork on their cards is generally in a duotone type artwork with various shades of a single pastel color and various shades of black.
This lot is for a single Runkel's card advertising their cocoa and picturing a young woman serving a golfer in knickers some warm cocoa on the golf course. Phenomenal trade cards picturing golf scenes are difficult to find and often expensive.
