Not a ton is known about this MGM set. The cards are similar in size and layout to the Mother's Cookies cards of a similar time frame. All the movies noted on the cards were released in 1955, so it's pretty well thought that the set was issued that year.
The set includes (18) different movie stars that are all EX to EXMT condition and very clean. The subjects in the set include: Pier Angeli in "Green Mansions", Ann Blyth in "The King's Thief", Leslie Caron in "The Glass Slipper", Marge and Gower Champion in "Jupiter's Darling", Cyd Charisse in "It's Always Fair Weather", Vic Damone in "Hit the Deck", Glenn Ford in "Interrupted Melody", Anne Francis in "Blackboard Jungle", Howard Keel in "Jupiter's Darling", Ann Miller in "Hit the Deck", Eleanor Parker in "Interrupted Melody", Walter Pidgeon in "Hit the Deck", Jane Powell in "Hit the Deck", Edmund Purdom in "The Prodigal", Debbie Reynolds in "Hit the Deck", Michael Wilding in "The Glass Slipper", Esther Williams in "Jupiter's Darling", Keenan Wynn in "The Glass Slipper".
