The N566 Newsboy series pictures Actresses and numbers into the hundreds of cards. The Newsboy cabinets were likely point-of-sale giveaways for buying the Newsboy brand of tobacco. The cabinets are standard 4-1/4" x 6-1/2" cabinets and have an albumen photo adhered to a red-inked mount advertising Newsboy of New York at the bottom front of the cabinet. Cabinets are blank-backed and often numbered on either the cabinet front or within the photo field itself and, occasionally both places. Many actresses have multiple poses or can be found with different mounts and the set offers the variation collector some real opportunities.

This lot is for (6) Non-actor or actress N567 Newsboy Tobacco cabinets. The subjects in the lot include #97 The Terrace, Central Park, NY, #147 Brooklyn Bridge NY, #148 Brooklyn Bridge NY, The Washington Bridge at 151st St and Harlem NY, #214 Statue of Lafayette, Madison Square NY, and an obelisk park. The cards are all in about VGEX condition except the #97 Terrace card that has scotch tape remnants on the top of the card.
