The R210 Trio Gum set is a (32) card set of U.S. Presidents from Trio Gum of Philadelphia, PA. Little is known about Trio Gum. It was from one of the hotbeds of gum and gum card production from the 1930's.....Philadelphia. That much is known. Were they an early part of Bowman or some other well known gum company? Regardless of their origin, they issued what became known as one of the tougher U.S. Presidents sets in the early 1930's. Unlike the R114 U S Caramel presidents set, there is no known single difficult card in this set. Rather, they are all relatively difficult cards. The cards go from Washington to Truman with just a single card representing Cleveland, totaling 32 cards. It has been, in the past, suggested that the Truman card is more difficult and, as such, it is in a separate lot by itself.

This near set of (30/32) cards is in very uniform EX to EXMT condition. A few of the cards have slightly darker tones to them than others but all are crease-free and very clean. This is a rare opportunity to get a near set of these cards. A lot of (17) cards sold recently for nearly $2600 in not nearly as nice condition. Missing only Herbert Hoover and the Harry S Truman, found elsewhere in this auction, this is the largest group of these cards ever auctioned that we could find.
