The N295 Mayo Cut Plug Actresses set is one of a number of sets that Mayo issued in the late 1880's to early 1890's. The set numbers (25) in size and pictures the important actresses of the day including subjects such as Lillian Russell, Della Fox, and others. Interestingly, all actresses are identified except for a pair of them.
This complete set of (25) cards runs between poor and VGEX with most in the G to GVG range. About 40% of the cards suffer from some back damage issues but the cards present well on the front. Nice, complete set that, with a few upgrades, could be a lower mid grade set pretty easily.
