The Allen & Ginter Quadrupeds artwork was used on the small format N21 set of (50) cards and the companion N41 larger format cards. The artwork was also featured in the Quadrupeds Album and Banner. The images picture four-legged animals from the mundane bloodhound, raccoon and squirrel to the big cats of jaguar, lynx, puma and tiger. Also pictured were the wild and always interesting animals of Africa including the Tapir, Zebu, Zebra, Rhinoceros and Hippopotamus. The animals are pictured in their natural habitats with nicely painted silhouette backgrounds picturing foliage and ground scenes from their lives.
This lot of (6) Cards from the N41 Allen & Ginter Quadrupeds set are in poor condition with mostly heavy back damage and includes the following subjects: Bloodhound, Gnu, Ibex, Tiger and Zebra(2 copies). The fronts of the cards are presentable and give a VGEX to EX appearance and the cards would make great additions to a low grade set or be fillers until better copies become available.
