The N172 Old Judge series pictures baseball, boxing, actresses and celebrities among others. Within the series, there are also a number of Australian subjects--believed to have been issued with Goodwin and Company Old Judge Cigarettes abroad throughout Australia. Many of the Australian subjects picture politicians and Australian sports figures like footballers, cricketeers and horse racing names.
This lot is for a single SGC40 VG3 graded card of Sir Henry Parkes. Parkes (1815-1896), according to Wikipedia "was a colonial Australian politician and longest non-consecutive Premier of the Colony of New South Wales, the present-day state of New South Wales in the Commonwealth of Australia."
