C45 Canadian Bird Set of (30) Cards

The C45 Canadian Bird Set of (30) Cards features beautiful bird cards with ornate gold borders. The set mirrors the T43 Mecca Cigarettes subjects and look. The backs of the C45 set, however, don't have any advertising on them. They're believed to have been issued by Imperial Tobacco of Canada and are cataloged in the ACC under that company's offerings. The cards are reminiscent of the gold bordered 1910's cards like the T205 baseball set and the T80 military cards.

This set grades between VG and EXMT with most being in the VGEX range. The backs of about 1/3 of the cards in the set are heavily toned although the fronts are clean and vividly colored.
